Molecular Biology and Genetics

GTU Department of Biology was founded with master’s program in 1994. It started to offer doctoral program in 2004 and and undergraduate education in 2010.

Covering fields of molecular biology, molecular microbiology and biotechnology in accordance with its aims and the changes in life sciences, the department has changed its name as Molecular Biology and Genetics.

The researches in the department are supported by GTU Scientific Research Fund and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).
