Language Courses

Upon their registration at GTU, every student (except for the post-graduates with equivalent language certificates) has to take English Proficiency Test. Students who pass (achieve 60/100) this test can start to take courses from their departments whereas the ones who fail it have to take compulsory language courses of Preparatory Class organized by GTU School of Foreign Languages. The students at Preparatory Class can take courses from their departments only if they successfully complete Preparatory Class or pass the midterm English Proficiency Test.

Incoming Erasmus+ students are also offered introductory Turkish Language courses. The courses are given by the Department of Turkish Language and course materials are provided by GTU International Relations Office for free.
