Bioinformatics and Systems Biology PhD program aims to equip students with programming and analytical thinking skills to apply advanced bioinformatics and systems biology methods on research problems including diseases such as cancer and neurological diseases. The courses offered within the program covers the processing and analysis of multi-omics data such as genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics, and the discovery of novel drugs based on protein structure simulations. A priority of the program is to enable the students to gain analytical thinking skills that will guide them through the analysis and interpretation of biological data during their thesis study and to gain problem solving skills to handle problems they encounter during their thesis study.
