International Students


 Application

The explanation about applications and application deadlines are announced on the website of GTU. Applications can be made by post or by personally to the Student Affairs Office at an indicated date. Applicant can opt for maximum 3 departments and fill a preference form while making the application.

Placement is based on national and international exams. Exams with a status of high school graduation exam (Abitur, International Baccalaureate, GCE, Tawjihi, etc.) are permanently valid. However, university entrance exams (SAT, TCS, etc) have limited validity of two years. For more information on exams and scores, please click here.

Student also needs to complete and send the following documents to GTU;

  • Application Form for Foreign Nationals
  • Valid Exam Result
  • High School Diploma
  • Official Transcript of Records
  • Copy of the identification page of the passport
  • Two photographs sized 4.5x6 cm

Additionally, applicants may be asked to assure that they are financially capable to pursue their education in our country.

 Declaration of the Results

The results will be announced on GTU website. The accepted students and those who confirm that they will be coming to registration will receive their acceptance letters through post to get a student visa. The applicants will forfeit their rights should they not come for registration within the dates specified.

 Registration

Registrations are held at the Student Affairs Office at a certain date stated in Academic Calendar every year.

Documents Required for Registration
  • The original copy of High School diploma
  • The original copy of Accreditation by TR The Ministry of Education which proves student’s high school diploma’s correspondence with the ones from Turkish High Schools.
  • The original copy of transcript
  • The original copy of the examination result document
  • The result of a Foreign Language Test
  • The copy of student’s official identity card or the passport page approved by Turkish Embassy or Turkish Consulate showing the necessary personal information on.
  • The bank receipt showing the paid amount of school fee (the amount is always claimed by the Council of Ministers every year.)
  • The Visa for Education or The Residence Permit by Turkish Embassy in student’s country.
  • 6 Passport Photos
