As GTU Civil Engineering Department, our mission is to educate our graduates as individuals who lead the construction sector, comply with engineering principles and ethics, use technology and follow actively, and have a visionary perspective. For this purpose, our process, which has started with enriched undergraduate education, is shaped in a line aimed at producing research and scientific contribution with master and doctorate programs.
The aim of Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program is to educate engineers who can use the basic principles, concepts and methods of civil engineering to design and build safe, economical and sustainable structures in compliance with standards, have knowledge about earthquake mitigation before and after earthquake, and develop new technologies and use them in practice. It prepares the basis for graduate studies by offering elective course packages to students who wish to pursue scientific research. It conducts undergraduate and graduate education and training programs that support and prepare the ground for interdisciplinary studies. The curriculum in the 100% English language includes a wide range of courses from design courses to engineering economics and is supported by software courses.
