GTU Institute of Defense Technologies offers its students the opportunity to conduct the latest research in material sciences, electrical-electronics, control systems, antenna systems, underwater autonomous vehicle technologies, software, optics and lasers.

Social facilities in Çayırova Campus available to all the GTU students are two sports centers, an outdoor swimming pool, a tenis court, a football field, spacious reading rooms in brand-new library, a restaurant, canteens in various spots and a huge open-air field with a magnificant view for outdoor sports.
