Applicants to this program must hold a bachelor’s degree from engineering faculties or faculties that offer engineering programs (e.g., Computer Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Meteorological Engineering, Software Engineering, and Agricultural Engineering) or from departments within architecture faculties (e.g., Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning). 

Candidates are also required to have scored at least 60 on the ALES exam and a minimum score of 55 on the YDS/YÖKDİL-English exams or an equivalent score from a valid English proficiency exam. Alternatively, they must achieve a minimum score of 60 on the GTU English Proficiency Exam. If no valid language score or exemption is available, applicants must take the GTU English Proficiency Exam held during the application period and must score above 40 to qualify for the master’s interview/admission exam. Students who pass the interview may begin their master’s program in the coursework phase.
