PROFILE OF THE PROGRAM

GTU Department of Economics aims to donate students with knowledge and skills necessary for processes of analyzing, questioning, researching, forecasting economic facts and of rational decision making as well as to transfer both scientific and applied knowledge about economics. The program intends to realize the following goals through courses, seminars, projects and theses:

• To help students to recognize economic theories and tools, assess modern economic events and comprehend the functions of international economic systems,
• To give necessary knowledge and skills to executives and workers from various private sectors,
• To provide with necessary basis for different careers in both state and private sectors through economic theory, economic policies, international economics and finance.
