Exams, Quantification and Consideration


Students must take the final exam in addition to midterm and homework for each course. The student's grade is given by the instructor according to the midterm exam, final exam, work done during the semester and participation in the course. All grade averages are expressed in letter scoring (AA, BA, BB, etc.).

The courses that do not require midterm and / or final exams are determined by the relevant department and reported to the Registrar's Office. In this case, the grade of success is determined according to the studies carried out during the semester.

Field and / or laboratory studies can be evaluated separately. In this case, each course, field and / or laboratory work complies with the above regulations independently.

Grade Table and Grade Distribution Guide

A student who gets one of the grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) from a course is considered to have succeeded in that course. Grades (DC), (DD), (FD), (FF) indicate failure. One of the following grades is given to the student for each course:

The above statements are valid for courses that last more than one semester, such as thesis work.

T (Transfer): It refers to the course transferred from another university. The success grade of this course is included in the Semester Grade Average.

Semester Average: The student's grade point average is calculated as Semester Average and Grade Point Average and announced by the Registrar's Office at the end of each semester. The Term Grade Average is found by multiplying the credit and grades of all the courses that the student has taken or failed in a semester by dividing it by the total credit of that semester.

Grade Point Average: The GPA is calculated by dividing the credits of seven courses with a total of 21 credits in which the student is the most successful by multiplying the grades of these courses by a total of 21 credits pertaining to these courses.
