Students are required to take a midterm exam and final exam for each course, in addition to completing assignments. The student's grade is determined by the instructor based on the midterm exam, final exam, coursework conducted during the semester, and class participation. All grade averages are expressed using a two-letter grading system (e.g., AA, BA, BB).

Courses that do not require a midterm and/or final exam are determined by the relevant department and reported to the Student Affairs Office. In such cases, the final grade is based on the coursework completed throughout the semester.

Practical and/or laboratory work may be assessed separately. In this case, each course's practical and/or laboratory work is evaluated independently according to the aforementioned regulations.

  • P: Passed

  • F: Failed

These statements apply to courses that continue for more than one semester, such as thesis work.

Transfer Courses (T): This refers to courses transferred from another university. The grade for this course is included in the Semester Grade Average.

Semester Grade Average: A student's average grade is calculated as the Semester Grade Average and the General Grade Average, and is announced by the Student Affairs Office at the end of each semester. The Semester Grade Average is calculated by multiplying the credits and grades of all courses taken during the semester, whether passed or failed, and dividing by the total credits for that semester.

General Grade Average: The General Grade Average is calculated by taking the highest grades from a total of seven courses, worth 21 credits, multiplying the grades by their respective credits, and dividing by the total of 21 credits for those courses.
