Computer Engineering

Computer science is one of the most active research and development fields in the world. This high level of activity shapes the infrastructure, as well as the education and research programs in the Department of Computer Engineering at GTU. The academic policy of the department functions in two main areas: education and research. On the theoretical side, the department focuses on algorithms, programming languages, information security and encryption issues; while on the application side, client - server systems, electronic commerce, databases, software development, interface design, security applications, system design, virtual reality and industrial process control are emphasized. The department offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs.

Apart from research groups coordinated by department lecturers, researches are carried out in such areas of worldwide popularity and that Turkish industry needs technologies of as:
