Purpose of the course: | Sedimentary rocks that cover large areas on the surface and near-surface regions of the Earth, formed as a result of external processes, are important not only as an archive recording events from the past to the present but also because they contain a significant portion of non-metallic Earth resources. Within the scope of the course, stratigraphy science and its principles, which enable the comparative establishment of all these relationships with sedimentary rocks, their formation processes, and environments, will be detailed. | |||||
